Thank you for viewing my site. I wanted to be a Creative Artist. Instead, I became an Artist Representative. After raising a son and building a successful career, I came back around to the first idea by way of taking classes at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
From there, oil painting is taking shape after years of keen and sensitive observation of Nature, Light, Shadow and Color. I am inspired by Nature and the living world around me. Everything I have seen in my life, every captured bit of light and shadow are remembered. I use oil paint – I like mixing colors and mapping them out before beginning a painting. Referencing many photos, maybe other works of art, and I take bits from all I see.
My paintings are commissioned mostly and rather large usually. Some of my work is work that I enjoy looking at, and I think others would be an escape from the chaotic and busy type of world we live in. I
My work of Nature is calm, tranquil, and restful but at the same time, strong, definitive, and energetic. Kind of like… me.
